Fremantle is a unique location to honour Anzac Day as it was the last Australian experience many soldiers and sailors had before departing the shores to join the war effort overseas.
The Fremantle Dawn Service commences at 5.30am on Anzac Day and is coordinated by the City of Fremantle in conjunction with the Fremantle Memorial Wardens at Monument Hill War Memorial. All are welcome to attend the service.
The Anzac Day commemorations will conclude with the traditional March through the main streets of Fremantle. Parade step off time is 10.15am from the Esplanade Reserve where the parade will travel through the main streets of Fremantle and along the Cappuccino Strip where a salute will be taken before returning to Esplanade Reserve for the Closing Ceremony.
